Values
- Following the teaching of Christ (faith in God) — not in form, but in essence
- Courage and bravery
- Mutually beneficial approaches
My goal is to find and realize "points of sustainable balance in systems." Mutually beneficial solutions ensure long-term stability, avoiding imbalances. - Practical applicability
I prefer solutions that work in practice, but I also value beautiful theory.
Meaningful Involvement
I strive to live consciously, creating and strengthening "bridges."
I avoid projects that do not solve substantial problems or do not lead to systemic change. I am not attracted to initiatives that simplify processes without altering the distribution of benefits or intensifying social tension.
I am drawn to projects leading to real and long-term changes: fighting pedophilia, slavery, inciting conflicts, and countering misanthropic programs. Initiatives that change lives, return resources to countries, develop education (teaching “how to fish”), and create companies that bring comfort, sustenance, and security to all layers of society — from the poorest to the most affluent are important to me.
My activity is also aimed at building “bridges” between:
✔ People
✔ Geographies
✔ Social strata
✔ Eras

Self-Positioning
- 🔄 Invert: Metaphorically, I position myself as the "Invert" — much of what is true for the majority is the exact opposite for me (for example, what comes easily and automatically to many is difficult for me, and vice versa).
- 🐀🥋 Master Splinter: Ideas of wisdom, mentorship, and kindness connect me with Master Splinter from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" — a wise rat who secretly raised heroes. For various reasons, I don't have much health left, and I don't know how useful I can still be, but I have experience, wisdom... and kindness.
Meaning of Symbols
Ω (Omega): The last letter of the Greek alphabet, symbolizing the end of an era and the summation of a life stage. It also refers to God (“I am the Alpha and the Omega”) and my birthday — the last day of the year according to the solar calendar, before “Nowruz” (“new day” — symbolically A (Alpha)). In numerology, my date of birth corresponds to the number 9, the last digit in the decimal system.
A (Alpha): Symbolizes the beginning, as every ending leads to a new start.
π (Pi): The first letter of the Greek word πνεῦμα (pneuma), meaning “spirit” or “soul.” π precedes A, emphasizing the primacy of the soul over form or matter.
(Ω → π → Α): This sequence (from the end of the old era to the new beginning through the soul/spirit) signifies that the spiritual (pneuma) is the guide, means, and path to achieving a new beginning, rather than focusing exclusively on material values.
Ωπ.Α (Opa): Denotes the practical realization of ideas expressed in Ω (articles, lectures). Additional meanings:
- «Opa» (ώπα) in Greek: Celebration of life.
- «Opa» in German: «Grandfather», a personal reference to my grandfather, Valeriy Kovnatsky.
Russian Culture and Language
- 📚🗣️ Russian Language: It is my native language. I primarily consider myself a Human Being, and only then Russian in the "broad" sense of the word, alongside Landau, Kropotkin, Kovalevskaya, etc.
- 🌍 Nationalism: Ideally, we are one big family, and we have one common home — our Earth.
- 💬🌉 Russian Language and Culture: I view Russian culture as a metaphorical bridge between all other cultures for a mutually beneficial finding of common ground, both literally and figuratively... for business and technology, a simpler language like English can be used, for example. The more "flexible" and rich the language, the better the chances of "agreeing" and finding common ground.
- 🕊️ Role of Russian Culture: Perhaps Russian culture will succeed in building a "bridge" between China/the "East" and the West so that we can all find common language without resorting to our old scheme: World War number N... we shall see.
Regarding Russian culture and language in the current conjuncture, I think outside of it; my attitude has weak ties to momentary, changing trends. Politicians will leave in 5-15 years, but we and our children will remain. On these matters, I think with a horizon of 5-25 years and beyond.
My Opinion on the Academic Environment
The academic environment is increasingly influenced by capitalism. The pursuit of truth and the solution of complex problems have given way to a focus on productivity metrics: citation counts, publications in prestigious journals, collaboration with famous scholars, and impressive CV entries.
The system encourages focusing on “low hanging fruits” (simple tasks), unjustified complication of texts through excessive formulas and terms to boost perceived contribution, as well as non-reproducible research, data manipulation, granting awards to “insiders,” and low quality of peer review due to professor overload. Honest research struggles to compete with methods that use unethical means. This is a systemic problem, though sometimes it is the fault of individuals.
The devaluation of academic publications and titles is occurring. We create a huge volume of materials that may only serve to distract talented people from truly important tasks.
I believe that people with exceptional abilities “have a duty” to use them for the benefit of society, helping the less gifted and “lighting the way” for others, rather than misusing their talents. This is comparable to a strong boxer using his superiority against beginners.
Nevertheless, I hope and believe that most scholars strive for truth and honest research. Otherwise, the situation would be much worse.
Leave everything at least no worse than it was before you.
